If all else fails I have thought of wrapping the roof, including the trim area of the sunroof, which would cover the crack - any experiences on that? I’m just worried if leaking were to eventually occur then there goes the roof wrap I paid for. I read very mixed numbers on how much this can cost with or without VW good faith/lemon law help and don’t want to fork over thousands of dollars for a factory issue.

I know this is an all too common issue with some sunroofs but the inevitable has happened, and it finally occurred with my 2017 MK7 SE. No one but yourself is liable for mishaps.
